| ERUGC Seniors Championship |
| Scarborough North Cliff Golf Club, Friday 15th May 2009 Ron Kelley, Scarborough North Cliff won the East Riding Union Seniors title for the third time in four years on his home course from Brian Witty also of Scarborough North Cliff. On a horrible day for golf when strong winds and driving rain made it difficult for competitors, it was only during the last couple of hours that the rain stopped and the wind eased off. Ron Kelley’s gross 75 in the conditions was a marvellous score, edging out his playing partner Brian Witty, runner up with 77, losing out once again to Ron as he had previously in the 2007 ERU Seniors Championship. | Thursday 14th August 2008 Mat Daley (Hainsworth Park) won the East Riding Union Boys Championship at Flamborough Head from playing partner Paul Lockwood (Hessle) by holing a 20 ft putt for a birdie on the final green. After a very wet and windy morning that made scoring conditions difficult, Paul Lockwood with the best morning round of 73 led the field by 2 shots. In the afternoon with conditions much more favourable, Daley with a burst of 3 birdies through 11, 12 and 13 plus dropped shots at 15 and 17 by Paul Lockwood meant the scores were tied at the final hole. Daley with his final birdie putt on the last green for a back nine of 32 and a gross 68 clinched the Championship.
